As mentioned, the Markets division is split into different departments. However, these departments are typically further split to cover particular products, sectors or regions (as is the case with the Investment Banking Division). This guide will cover the most commonly found sub-divisions, although you should be aware that some banks may split their divisions in different ways or may have additional arms such as Treasury or Prime Brokerage departments. Ensure that you research specifically into the banks to which you are applying so that you do not mistakenly reference a department using an incorrect name.
