This year has marked a standout moment for early careers at SRLV, with the highest level of interest we have ever seen across our Graduate and Intern programmes.
A record number of ambitious young people applied to join our 2026 Graduate and Internship Programmes, reflecting the appeal of starting a career in a supportive, people‑focused environment where trainees can grow and develop.
Our Graduate Programme is designed to nurture bright, curious individuals at the very start of their professional journey. Over four years, graduates are supported to develop strong technical foundations while building confidence, resilience and commercial awareness. Working alongside our specialist teams, graduates gain exposure to a diverse client base across creative, entrepreneurial and international businesses, whilst being supported through their professional qualifications in a flexible and progressive way.
Our Intern Programme offers undergraduates and recent graduates the opportunity to gain hands-on, real-world experience through a paid, year‑long placement. Interns are fully immersed in life at SRLV, working across areas including accounting, tax and business management, and contributing to client work from day one. The programme is designed to help participants understand whether a career in accountancy is right for them, while developing valuable technical and professional skills that will support any future career path.
The firm hosted its annual Graduate Assessment Day last month. This event saw 28 students from across the UK join SRLV staff at a luxury London hotel for a full day of activities designed to showcase both technical ability and personal strengths. Candidates delivered presentations, completed handwritten and numerical exercises, and took part in collaborative team‑building challenges, giving us the opportunity to see how they think, communicate and work together.
Following this process, we will be recruiting 19 early career roles across the firm for our 2026 intake. Competition has been exceptionally high this year, and the calibre of candidates we met was outstanding. We wish the very best of luck to all those who have taken part!
Alongside our graduate and intern intake, we are also welcoming multiple work experience students into the firm this year. Supporting teenagers at an early stage of their career decision-making and igniting an interest in accountancy is an opportunity we relish.
We work continually to expand and grow our early careers programme, and are always impressed by the enthusiasm shown by the young people who are excited to build their future career with us.
