Our early careers recruitment assessment process

Our Early Careers Recruitment Assessment Process

Our game based assessments - what’s it all about?

You might be wondering: Why am I doing this? What’s the point? What does it measure? How does it impact next steps?

Why we use game-based assessments

At Molson Coors, we’re a people-first business. We only use tools that add real value, and this is one of them.

This assessment is designed to give you a fair, engaging way to show your potential. It’s not about passing or failing it’s about understanding how you approach challenges that relate to the role.

What it measures

We’re looking at key behaviours & these are critical for success in our Early Careers Programmes. The assessment helps us see how you think not just what’s on your CV.

Why it matters

This is a core part of our recruitment process. We won’t progress your application until it’s completed not to make things harder, but to make things fairer and smarter, don’t worry though we always give you 14 days to complete the assessment.

What you can expect

  • Everyone gets the same experience so it’s consistent and inclusive.
  • You might even learn something about yourself from the feedback!
  • If you need any adjustments, just let us know at [email protected].

Take your time, give it your best, and try to enjoy it. We’re excited to see how you approach it!

Generative AI & using it in our process.

At Molson Coors, we use technology to enhance the candidate experience, while keeping a human touch at every stage of hiring. Real people review applications in our recruitment team to ensure we’re bringing in the best talent. AI tools like ChatGPT can support inclusion and help candidates feel confident, but we focus on getting to know the person behind the application.

Using AI in your application

Using AI tools is completely optional & we won’t assess you based on whether you’ve used them or not. If you do choose to, we encourage thoughtful use to help highlight your strengths, but ensure your application remains personal.

We’re here to get to know you, your experience, your perspective, and your personality. While AI tools can help polish your application, they should support your voice, not replace it.

Our tip: Use AI to refine, not to rewrite who you are.

Generative AI & using it in our process

What's okay

  • Using AI to help you research the company, or gather info for your preparation.
  • Using AI to check spelling, improve formatting, or help structure your answers.
  • Asking AI to help you phrase your real-life examples more clearly.
  • Asking AI to help you prepare with mock questions or STARR format examples

What to avoid

  • Don’t use AI to invent scenarios or experiences that didn’t happen.
  • Avoid overly formal or generic responses your personal touch matters.
  • Don’t put confidential information in which might be about you or a company.
  • Don’t rely on AI to do all the work: Use it to support your thinking, not replace it.

Additional AI tips

  • Brainstorming ideas
  • Language and tone adjustments
  • Data interpretation support
  • Learning and upskilling
  • Summarise complex information or instructions
