Meet Sepehr
I am a Computer Science graduate with some experience in web development. I joined Nuveen as a summer Intern and continued to stay with Nuveen as a Rotational Analyst. I have been here for about 4-5 months including the internship.
Your internship journey
What team did you intern with, and what was your main focus during your internship?
Technology team, my focus was to look for improvements using technology to drive operational efficiency and help draft roadmaps for business initiatives.
The real experience
What has been the single most important thing you learnt so far in your job?
Understanding the broader context around why the business opts in to use certain technologies over others.
Advice for future interns
Looking back at the application process, what advice would you give your past self?
Familiarise yourself more with the business of an Asset Management Firm, understand the relationship they have with the broader financial services sector.
