Book open Reading time: 2 mins

If the fact that Profesional Services giant PwC has ranked #1 on the Times Top 100 Graduate Employers for the past 11 years doesn't motivate you enough to get on board with this company, then perhaps this will.

This month, PwC has launched a major competition for students in its quest for fresh thinking and debate on UK tax reform. The competition offers a whopping £20k for the best essay on how the tax system should change to improve job prospects and drive the UK economy.

The competition is part of the firm’s Paying for Tomorrow campaign on how the UK tax system needs to adapt for the future and the increasing demands that will come for tax revenues. This competition aims to engage the student population on tax issues, giving them the opportunity to have their voice heard. You are invited to submit a 2,000 - 3,000 word answer to: “How would you change the UK tax system to improve future employment prospects and drive the economy?”

Needless to say, the tax-savvy among you will be pretty excited right now. Whether or not you fall into this category, why not still have a think about how the UK's tax system could be redesigned to improve job prospects and drive economic growth? You never know... you might just end up with a spare £20k in your pocket. Worst case scenario: you widen your knowledge and understanding a hugely important topic, and thus improve your employability at the same time.

The competition is open until 5th January 2015 to full time students in higher or further education studying in the UK*.  For more information on the competition and how to submit an entry please visit www.pwctaxcompetition.co.uk

Go for it!
