Getting started
When you start with us, you will undertake training which will provide you with everything you need to hit the ground running and be successful in your role. Throughout your first year, you will also have the opportunity to earn Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications in hygiene.

You will also have the opportunity to work towards a BESCA approved certification in Air or Grease hygiene, which will equip you with industry recognised training so you can provide a high quality service to customers.
Your first role with us will be a Specialist Hygiene Technician which will provide you with the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience. You will cover a dedicated geographical patch, where you’ll assist customers with their requirements.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Delivering essential hygiene services to help clients maintain safe and sustainable environments
- Responding to emergency hygiene needs and participating in an on-call rota
- Working towards a BESCA approved qualification in fire safety or air quality.
- Gaining hands-on experience in biohazard cleaning, flood clean up and infection control
- Providing exceptional customer service and upholding a professional image at all times
During your first year, you will participate in regular training sessions to gain a comprehensive understanding of our business operations. Towards the end of the year, you'll be encouraged to choose between two exciting opportunities: either a Sales Consultant or a Service Supervisor role.

Once you have spent a year as a Hygiene Technician, you will be ready to start applying for your next role. This is your chance to choose a career path which aligns with your interests.
By embarking on your next role, you will gain a deeper understanding of the business, and the roles available to you, which is essential to your future development with Rentokil Specialist Hygiene.
Sales Consultant
Want to become our next sales superstar? As a Sales Consultant, you will be the face of Rentokil Specialist Hygiene, vising new and existing customers to build relationships. You will use the knowledge you gained as a Hygiene Technician to determine the best solution to support with their specific hygiene issues.
Service Supervisor
If you're interested in people management, our Service Supervisor role could be for you! You will support the branches operations by overseeing a team of Technicians, providing on-site support and supporting with office- based activities including stock control, compliance with company processes and coaching and developing your team.

What we need from you in return

Requirements
- A minimum 2:2 degree in one of the following:
- Science related degree
- Hospitality Business Management
- Hotel and Hospitality Management
- Business Management
- Business Studies
- Management Studies
- A full UK driving license held for at least 6 months, with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Willingness to live within the locality of the vacancy or able to relocate, where we may offer a generous relocation package.
