Shining a light on employee support groups at Asda

By Asda

We’re proud of our strong employee networks. Here are just a few recent highlights from across our networks, showcasing the work they're doing across the business and community.

Women in Data & Tech

Our team recently partnered with Ahead Partnership to inspire young women aged 14-16 to explore careers in technology. We showed that Data is about more than just numbers - it’s about creativity, problem-solving and helping to shape the future.

By sharing our stories and showcasing role models, we’re helping young women see the impact they can make in the world of Data. It all starts with awareness, encouragement and the belief that when you see what’s possible, you start to believe it’s possible for you too.

Celebrating Pride and LGBTQ+ Inclusion

We’re continuing our support for Diversity Role Models, with a percentage of sales from the George at Asda Pride range funding educational workshops in schools. We also brought back our popular colleague t-shirt design competition - with the winning “Love for All” design now available online and in stores.

Inclusivity at Asda isn’t just about policies or events - it’s about understanding and celebrating each other’s experiences. Through our Pride network, we’re building a culture where everyone feels heard, seen and valued.

Building Understanding Through Ramadan

This year, colleagues across Asda joined a special “Come Fast with Me” day during Ramadan. Non-Muslim colleagues fasted in solidarity, guided by their Muslim peers, to gain a deeper understanding of the experience.

The day was filled with moments of reflection - from gratitude for life’s small blessings, to the sense of community when breaking fast together, to the heartfelt appreciation for one another’s traditions.

It wasn’t just about food - it was about empathy, connection, and inclusion.
