Two weeks ago, I packed my bags in quiet Lancashire not knowing what to expect or how I will be received in a bustling office in Central London, in an industry I knew very little about. Over the last couple of weeks, I have found not only my feet, but my calling - an experience that has made a lasting impact.
After speaking with Managing Partner, Andrew Hayes, it became clear to me that culture drives success. Yes, you could argue that strong company culture yields superior financial results through lower employee turnover, better customer service etc, but the workplace culture I have experienced here at Hudson Sandler is clearly deep-rooted in every aspect of business and office life. I could talk about the cliché of collaborative office free thinking and hot desking to provide environment flexibility, but this is something many companies can boast about. From the minute I arrived at Charterhouse Square, I felt part of the furniture.
I was met with a welcoming arrival, complete with a busy calendar, as well as introductions to the team. Given the opportunity to speak with members across the company from Design and Digital to Investor Relations, resulted in my developing a broad understanding of what goes into a Communications agency as special as Hudson Sandler. Notably, my time spent with Client Director, Harry, on capital market accounts has been a new experience for me and one that I have thoroughly enjoyed.
To thrive in this industry, it is clear to me that a creative and explorative mind is a key driver of success. A genuine want and passion for learning and encountering new experiences is paramount in developing and growing a career at Hudson Sandler, and its environment of like-minded individuals, who all bring unique ideas and attributes to the table – a table anyone would be lucky to sit at.
A thoroughly enjoyable and insightful experience made complete by such a valuing and supportive team. Thank you, Hudson Sandler.
