Internship Experience UK: Technology

29 Jun 2021, 9 a.m.
Application deadline was 23rd June 2021, 11:59 p.m.

Applications for Internship Experience UK are now closed.

Overview

The pace of digital transformation over the last year means that graduates need to adapt their skills to become more technology-minded. Businesses are looking for those who can hit the ground running, innovate and adapt in a changing environment. With that, there’s been a huge spike in roles in technology, both for non-STEM graduates and of course those studying for a tech-focused degree.

Here’s where the technology stream comes - we’ve designed the programme so students can tailor the programme dependent on their tech ability. Those with advanced tech skills can take part in hackathon-style projects led by Google and those just getting started can take on project management/tech consultant projects.

What's new for 2021?

This year, you can expect to benefit from an all-new programme designed specifically to help you on your journey through the world of work. Here's what Internship Experience UK 2021 has in store for you this year:

  • The chance to learn from and connect with leading employers in the Technology sector, including Google
  • All-new sector-focused and core skills sessions to give you greater insight into working in Tech
  • The chance to tailor your work experience based on your interests
  • Unique sub-sector streams and project work from Google that you can impress current and potential employers with

If you did the programme last year, you'll be building on the skills you learned as well as acquiring new ones and you'll gain a new certificate to show employers your continued dedication to your career and industry.

Internship Experience UK last summer gave me such a good insight into industry-leading companies and the workshops within this were very useful for thinking about the kinds of skills you want to showcase during the application process.
