We recently caught up with Devang about how they secured an internship with the NHS and how Bright Network helped them. Here’s what they had to say!
What stood out to you about the NHS?
Being involved in the National Health Service definitely stood out to me. Being a part of one of the largest employers in the country and being able to learn and grow from so many different people and in a few areas was something that really interested me. It also stood out against other options for that reason, as I knew I could get the chance to do more with the NHS.
What would be your top tip to members following in your footsteps?
Look at the job description/person specification and use that to tailor your application so that you know you're meeting those requirements. How your experiences link to those tasks and needs so that the firm you’re applying for can see you’re the person who's most capable of the role.
How did Bright Network help you secure your role?
I took part in the Investment Banking and Finance stream of Internship Experience UK and found the experience to be very useful when applying for my internship. Being able to reference the courses, the insight I gained and adding to my previous experiences to demonstrate I’d gone that step further to improve my skills and build my knowledge.
