Depositary and Annex IV Services – London graduate opportunities
Love working with data? Interested in financial oversight and regulation?
At Langham Hall, our Depositary team plays a key role in protecting investors and ensuring funds meet their regulatory obligations.
What does a Depositary do?
In practical terms, a depositary is an independent party that monitors a fund’s activities to ensure:
- Assets are properly recorded and ownership verified
- Valuations are reviewed to ensure they are fair and reliable
- The fund is run in line with regulatory rules
Depositary Analysts at Langham Hall help ensure fund managers operate with integrity, compliance and investor trust, playing a critical role in private fund governance and developing client trust.
In London, our team works closely with fund managers’ finance and compliance teams to apply monitoring procedures that:
- Meet regulatory requirements
- Support day-to-day business operations without disruption
As an Analyst you will review fund transactions, check documentation, monitor compliance with investment restrictions, and prepare oversight reports. This gives graduates a unique opportunity to understand how investment funds operate, both financially and from a regulatory perspective, while building strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Alongside depositary work, the team also supports clients with Annex IV reporting, a regulatory requirement across Europe. This involves:
- Reporting on a fund’s investments, risk exposure, and investor profile
- Navigating different requirements from various European regulators
- Helping fund managers prepare and file accurate reports on time
This work offers valuable insight into cross-border regulation and the operational side of fund management.
In this role you will work towards qualification achieving the CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) Charter.
