Meet Harry Vasilaras...
Harry speaks to us about his experience working at AIG as a graduate.
Where did you go to university?
I studied law at the City University of London.
What made you choose AIG?
I applied for a graduate underwriter job at AIG after networking with people in the industry to learn more about the London insurance market. When I first joined university I did not have a career in insurance in mind.
However, I soon learnt that the industry has a lot to offer, such as the stimulating and dynamic work, great work life balance and the opportunities for career growth. I decided to apply to AIG as they are one of the largest insurance companies in the world with a known record of producing good talent through their training programs.
What has your experience at AIG been like?
After one year, I have undertaken a three week training programme in New York, worked with various business lines and regions, and I now manage my own set of accounts, liaising with brokers and clients daily.
