With no Training Contract requirement and no need to specialise, you can work at the top and heart of an organisation. Move up quickly, and be challenged - so you're never bored. Move between sectors and Internationally if desired. While the knowledge base of the role is mainly law, business, and finance, four other skills are critical to a successful career in governance; Strong verbal and written communication skills, Resilience, Attention to detail, and Interpersonal skills.
