Eligibility
Minimum C GCSE English language and maths, right to work in UK

The best way to find out what it’s like to be a teacher is to experience a working classroom yourself! We run a series of insight days throughout the year which aim to give prospective applicants the opportunity to see what happens inside a classroom, as well as to observe different teachers and meet some of our students. Our insight days are one day long and you must be eligible for our teacher training programme; hence we require you to send a CV to apply. This MUST include GCSE and A level subjects and grades as well as a degree subject and result (predicted or obtained).

Our insight days are particularly recommended for students in their final year of university or a recent graduates.

Spend a day in one of our classrooms and experience:

  • A welcome and tour of the school
  • Meeting with one of our teachers from the relevant department/year group to discuss subject pedagogy
  • Observe a lesson and see an example of great teaching in the subject/key stage of your choice
  • Meet with a current Ark Teacher Training trainee or NQT (newly qualified teacher) to find out more about the programme
