With our ethically sourced ecobooths, we'll share information about PwC, our dedication to sustainable practices, and the opportunities available for students and graduates.

And that includes how we work too. At PwC, we've been transforming how we operate and delivering a wide range of environmental improvements for over a decade. We’re proud of the progress we’ve made and want to share these changes as a response to the growing climate and ecological crisis.

The story behind our ethically sourced ecobooth

Each aspect of our university tour this year highlights our commitment to sustainability. Not least our touring eco-booths which have been created using a selection of recyclable, recycled and responsibly sourced materials. 

By producing three booths, one for each UK geographical region, we have minimised the mileage our vehicles need to travel from one university to the next during the tour. The footprint of all the miles travelled will be offset using verified carbon credits.

The story behind the materials 

  • STRUCTURE: STEEL - Steel is a metal that can be infinitely recycled and is 100% recyclable without loss of quality.
  • STRUCTURE: FSC TIMBER - FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) timber refers to timber that has been harvested responsibly from well managed forests that are continuously replenished and ensure that there is no damage to the surrounding environment, or to native flora and fauna.
  • STRUCTURE: ALUMINIUM - Aluminium is 100% recyclable and can be recycled again and again without degrading its inherent value.
  • LOGO: GREENCAST 1 - 100% recycled and recyclable cast acrylic sheet.
  • FURNITURE: RECLAIMED PALLET WOOD - The pallet board cladding was created from reclaimed wood from post-consumer, post-industrial and orchards sources. Using reclaimed wood reduces waste and lessens demand on harvested sources.
  • PLANTS - Our booths are decorated with real plants which will be maintained throughout our university tour. 
  • DIGITAL HARDWARE: REFURBISHED TV SCREENS are refurbished second-hand outdoor models. Using refurbished digital hardware reduces the amount of E-waste which could ultimately end up in landfill.

Our giveaways

We’ve supported social enterprises for many years by including them within our supply chain. We recognise the spending power we have as a business to support start-ups that have a social or environmental mission, providing jobs for disadvantaged groups. In 2023 we spent £2.3m with more than 70 social enterprises. Find out more.

We’re delighted to be sharing soft drinks from Rejuce during our 2024/25 tour for you to enjoy. Find out more about their story and how they are reducing food waste. 

Fluid, the company who source our branded clothing for our campus teams also has a social conscience. For each order we place, a tree is planted, and they have achieved carbon neutral status accreditation - demonstrating their belief that a strong purpose means good business. 

Chocolate and Love source cacao beans from Panama, Peru, The Dominican Republic and Madagascar and ensure the sustainability of the farmers through information, education and industry certification. The packaging is made from starch, meaning wrappers can go straight into the compost and will break down.

We’re proud to be graduate employer of the year as voted for by students in the Times Top 100 Graduate Employers survey 2024.

We hope to have met many of you throughout our tour sharing with you why we reached the number one spot. 

Over fourteen thousand students were interviewed face-to-face in universities across the UK. Uniquely, the rankings are decided entirely by final year students who are just about to leave university and start their first graduate job.
