We have a Global Centre of Excellence for Medical Devices based in Witney, Oxfordshire. The site has been instrumental in the research, development and manufacture of the FreeStyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System as well as exciting developments in the Libre family including FreeStyle Libre 2, FreeStyle Libre 3 and the Libre Sense system.

Primary Responsibilities
- Timely delivery of clinical technical reports under the Medical Device Regulation and In Vitro Diagnostics Regulation for Abbott Diabetes Care products to enable CE marking and the selling of medical devices in the EU.
- Performing systematic scientific literature reviews, collating and appraising clinical evidence data for Abbott Diabetes Care and competitor products.
- Supporting the preparation of Performance/Clinical Evaluation and Post-Market Performance/Clinical Follow-Up.
At the end of the internship you will be capable of:
- Providing knowledgeable input into technical documentation and understand the relevant regulatory requirements.
- Have knowledge and experience of working for a medical device company.
- Have knowledge of the state of art in Continuous Glucose Monitoring competitive landscape.
- Maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality System at the site in accordance with divisional and corporate requirements and applicable regulations.
- Working in cross functional teams to achieve common goals.
Requirements
In order to be considered for this internship program you will need:
- Successful completion of the first two years of a Life Sciences/Engineering degree
- Interest in Clinical Data and how this function contributes to provision of safe healthcare products
- IT skills (Microsoft office)
- Requirements to sign an internship
- Team working skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
