About the role

We are currently seeking a Commercial Analyst. As a Commercial Analyst you will prepare cost models for engine and airframe acquisitions, manage Acquisition and Trading opportunities, and organise Technical Data for the Trading department. The role is primarily office-based in the first year, with occasional travel to the Crawley office and conferences. This role is ideal for recent graduates or those with more experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and prepare cost models for engines, airframes, and inventory packages.
  • Ensure the accuracy of cost models through reports, data analysis, and collaboration with Sales, Repairs, and Inventory teams.
  • Record and manage the pipeline of acquisition and trading opportunities
  • Conduct technical and financial analysis of assets.
  • Perform basic technical assessments of engines for teardown acquisitions, with provided training.
  • Prepare regular and monthly management reports and analysis of origination and trading opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with Trading and Technical teams to ensure accurate information is captured in models and the acquisition pipeline.
  • Work with Sales, Repairs, and Inventory teams to maintain efficient cash flow forecasting within the cost models.
  • Create reports, visualizations, and dashboards to inform relevant departments.

You will ideally need the following

  • Degree in a relevant subject, such as Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Proficient with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
  • Accurate analytical approach and data handling.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify data patterns and propose solutions.
  • Capable of presenting analysis concisely.
  • Independent and proactive work ethic.
  • Effective teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
  • Commitment to developing aviation industry expertise.
