Job description

Working with the Global Communications team, the Marketing Content Intern will help bring Akeneo’s messaging to life. You’ll work directly with the Content Marketing Manager to identify content opportunities and gaps, lead the creation & execution of content across a variety of written and visual formats, and help support Akeneo’s demand generation and awareness efforts by crafting content across all stages of buyer’s journey.

Leveraging SEO and trending market topics, you’ll have the opportunity to write and promote in-depth articles and infographics that align with greater marketing campaigns. This role will collaborate across the marketing team and be an integral part of producing high-quality and engaging content. This will be a fantastic opportunity for a passionate writer looking to develop their skills as a storytelling B2B marketer.

This role will report directly to the Content Marketing Manager within the Global Communications team.

This role will work closely with the Product Marketing team, the Global Campaigns team, and the Field Marketing team.

More precisely, your main responsibilities will be

  • Create compelling written content optimised for SEO (Search Engine optimization) from ideation to execution, including but not limited to blog posts, infographics, web pages, articles, email cadences, eBooks, customer stories, social media captions, etc.
  • Assist in creating and executing the editorial calendar while meeting weekly & monthly writing deadlines.
  • Work cross-functionally within marketing (product marketing, communications and demand) to support writing projects for product launches, global campaigns, website, and strategic partner marketing.
  • Create written content designed for various buyer personas, funnel stages, and use cases.
  • Assist in regular content audits to ensure coverage across use cases, personas, buyer journeys, and channels/tactics.
  • Ensure best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style to ensure consistency of content with professional quality standards, brand, and tone


  • You have experience in, and passion for, writing engaging content with examples to share
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a creative eye, and a passion for proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • You can tell a story and keep your audience engaged, especially if you can take a complex subject and explain it in digestible terms
  • You are organised and able to meet deadlines
  • You proactively take initiatives and are enthusiastic about navigating and succeeding in a rapidly evolving business
  • You have a ‘get it done’ attitude; resourceful and creative
  • You act with empathy and communicate with honesty, candour, and respect
