    The team

    Our team is focused on improving return on investment capital and reducing the risks specific to capital projects. Our highly respected Infrastructure & Capital Projects (A&M INFRA) team is built on deep industry sector expertise with a demonstrably differentiated ability to address the most complex business problems and by supporting our owner/operator/contractor clients with the expertise of our deep project, Alvarez & Marsal's ultimate goal is to reduce the level of uncertainty associated with the development and operational costs of your projects, contributing to greater shareholder value drawn from procurement through execution and asset management through different solutions.

    The role

    A&M is expanding in EMEA, and we are looking to recruit Interns and Analysts in our in London office. Working with some of the industry's brightest and most experienced colleagues, you will have an entry-level responsibility for collecting and analyzing data, conducting research, and providing support to more senior team members in delivering complex infrastructure and capital projects from inception to completion in the context of performance improvement, digitization, delivery transformation, and operational turnaround. You will assist in conducting analysis, data entry, research, preparing reports and presentations, and reporting to senior managers and directors.

    Activities and responsibilities

    • Consolidate data to enable critical analysis.
    • Prepare presentations (internal and external) and write detailed client reports.
    • Present analysed data to managers and clients.
    • Participate in the execution of work according to agreed timelines and quality standards understanding project objectives, scope and client expectations.
    • Execute A&M INFRA service lines with proficiency by understanding and following prescribed work steps, processes and methodologies.
    • Support other disciplines such as construction disputes, as appropriate.
    • Engage in various projects, collaborating with colleagues and clients across a variety of sectors and functional areas.
    • Respond promptly to project demands and anticipate critical actions for the success of initiatives.

    Qualifications

    Essential

    • Academic background in engineering, management or finance related disciplines.
    • Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills with demonstrable experience of team-working.
    • Willingness to travel.

    Desirable

    • Knowledge of project management methodologies.
    • Knowledge of the construction, infrastructure or energy sectors.

    Competencies

    • Demonstrable MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) proficiency.
    • Proactive in gaining new skills and acquiring knowledge related to the industry.
    • Critical thinking skills providing fact-based recommendations, recognizing and addressing additional opportunities to serve the client, through an understanding of A&M’s services.
    • Ability to work under pressure whilst demonstrating attention to detail, ensuring accurate, complete, and high-quality work.
    • Good interpersonal relationship skills to effectively interact at multiple levels (internally and externally).
