    The Quantitative Management Analyst Program (QMAP) is designed to develop and coach analytical and quantitative talent to be deployed throughout various Bank of America business groups. Upon completion of the program, QMAP graduates have a broad range of global career opportunities within the bank.

    Your training and development is our top priority with extensive formal training offered at the start of the programme in addition to on the job support, educational speaker events and mentorship throughout.

    As an Analyst, your key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to

    • Join a program focusing on capital markets, instrument pricing/valuation, and counterparty credit risk management
    • Apply quantitative analysis to business problems and develop solutions in areas of Derivatives and Exotics, Price Valuation, Model Validation / Model Risk Management, Risk Analytics, Automated Solutions and Counterparty Credit Risk
    • Implement solutions applying both qualitative and quantitative aspects in capital markets, finance, and risk management
    • Use modelling techniques to quantify and determine solutions to business problems
    • Gain real, in-depth experience applying quantitative knowledge to specific financial challenges

    Training

    The QMAP training curriculum is a multi-phase program that complements and enhances the hands-on experience you will develop in your assignments.

    The goal of the training curriculum is to provide you with a broad introduction to core concepts and theories of quantitative modelling and risk management that you will encounter during your career at Bank of America, covering topics from the consumer, commercial and capital markets lines of businesses.

    Training concepts discussed include: quantitative credit analytics, interest rate hedging, fixed income and derivative valuation, and market risk and typically consists of an initial one week of classroom training in the US.

    Qualifications

    The Quantitative Management Analyst program is seeking a combination of academic aptitude and quantitative skills including:

    • Candidates are required to be recent graduates or in their final year with a graduation timeframe between Jan 2023 – Dec 2023 pursuing a Masters, PhD or other advanced degree from an accredited college or university in quantitative disciplines such as Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Quantitative Finance, and Economics
    • Strong A-Level grades and on track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification (or equivalent)
    • Demonstrates strong quantitative and analytical skills, ideally supported by a good understanding of global financial markets, products and tools

    Skills

    • Programming experience (preferably in an object oriented language such as Python, C++, C# or Java) (required)
    • Understanding and expertise in relevant technical areas which could include: statistical/data analysis, probability theory, numerical analysis, optimization techniques, machine learning, high performance numerical computing, compilers and programming languages, Monte Carlo simulation. (desired)
    • Strategic and creative and critical thinking ability with exceptional communication skills
    • Fluency in English is essential for all roles and a second language may be advantageous
    • Team-working leadership and problem solving skills are key qualities along with the proven ability to work in a fast paced environment with a variety of people
    • Communicates with Impact: Influences decisions and outcomes through effective communication
    • Has a drive for operational excellence and a commitment to achieving sustainable results
    • Demonstrates integrity and ethics by earning other’s trust and respect through consistent honesty and professionalism in all interactions
