BDP’s Landscape Architect profession is involved in a variety of exciting and challenging projects, both in the UK and Internationally. About the role

The BDP North Landscape team, based in Manchester and Sheffield, is currently seeking either a chartered landscape architect or CAD technician to provide technical support to the North Landscape team, contributing to a large, evolving and exciting programme of work. This role will also provide the opportunity for the right person to organise and drive forward CAD / REVIT processes and standards within the landscape profession with BDP.

Working closely with the BDP North Landscape team, there is an opportunity for creativity within this role, helping to develop design ideas and technical details, providing the link between the project concept design through to detailed design ahead of construction taking place. Exceptional organisation skills, an eye for detail and design and a high degree of technical accuracy are all desirable skills for this role, alongside good communication.

About you

You will

  • Have a degree in Landscape Architecture, or other recognised Architectural / Engineering qualification;
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and REVIT through relevant experience of working within the built environment industry;
  • An in-depth working knowledge of both 2D and 3D drafting packages;
  • Have the ability to communicate your understanding of the design process and requirements for the successful technical delivery of construction projects, ideally relating to the external environment;
  • Be results driven, enjoy challenging opportunities, have a positive attitude and are resourceful;
  • Have the potential to mentor others;
  • Be organised and have the ability to work to, and achieve, tight deadlines and be able to work collaboratively with people at all levels and from all backgrounds;
