What to expect from your summer internship
As an intern in our Biochemistry and Chemistry teams, you will gain hands-on experience and develop valuable skills in a dynamic and supportive environment. Your responsibilities will include:
Biochemistry tasks
- Clotting Assay Chromagenic Assay ELISAs General lab housekeeping tasks (buffer preparation, sample aliquoting, basic equipment maintenance and cleaning) Documentation (archiving, photocopying data, etc.)
Chemistry tasks
- UV-Vis assays Standalone instrumentation (such as Chloride and pH Analysers)
In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined, interns can expect to develop a range of valuable skills during their summer internship.
These include
- Laboratory techniques Gain hands-on experience with various biochemistry and chemistry assays such as Clotting Assay, Chromagenic Assay, ELISAs, and UV-Vis assays. You will also learn to operate standalone instrumentation like Chloride and pH Analysers
- Analytical Skills: Enhance your ability to analyse and interpret experimental data, ensuring accuracy and reliability in your results
- Attention to Detail: Develop meticulous documentation skills by archiving, photocopying data, and maintaining accurate records of your experiments

What you'll need
To be eligible for our summer internship, candidates must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program within a Life Science discipline. This includes, but is not limited to, fields such Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, Biosciences and Forensic Science be available for the entire 8-week internship, which starts on Monday, July 7th 2025 have the legal right to work in the UK at the time of application
