Our Summit ONE in Farnborough is home to the National Sales Company for the BMW Group in the UK, as well as BMW Group Financial Services which offers retailers, corporate, and private customers a range of customised financial services. Alphabet (GB) Ltd. as a leading provider of Business Mobility Services is also located in Farnborough. We decided in November 2020 to bring together BMW Financial Services and Alphabet to stay relevant to our customers and continue to succeed in a rapidly changing business environment.

Aftersales Business Development

We are looking for a confident and eager to learn individual to join our Aftersales Business Development team, where we are primarily focused on driving customers into our BMW and MINI Retail network for service work, and the subsequent retention of these customers by offering a premium ownership experience. We are responsible for a number of service programmes and products such as service plans, tactical marketing campaigns, and our finance offering.

What will you be doing?

  • Assisting with the planning of our quarterly marketing campaigns and supporting the implementation of pilot programmes.
  • Supporting the team to review and enhance existing initiatives as well as bringing and potentially implementing new ideas to market where we can identify commercial opportunity.
  • Supporting the development of a range of service programmes (service inclusive, pay monthly etc), adding value for customers and the retailer network across both BMW and MINI brands.
  • Utilising reporting, analytics, and market intelligence to ensure that our service product offerings are competitive in the UK market, driving customer retention and profitability.
  • Delivering presentations to other members of the BMW Group.

Qualifications and experience

  • Studying towards a bachelor's degree in Business Studies, Marketing, Economics, or a related field and on track to achieve at least a 2:2.
  • A confident user of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project.
  • Willing and able to learn Manufacturer Systems and Financial Controlling processes.
  • Well organised, able to prioritise, and has the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working on both individual and team initiatives simultaneously.
  • Confident, with strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and flexible.
  • Prepared to use initiative and positively take ownership of elements within a project.
  • Awareness of the importance of brand values to a multi-national organisation.
  • Previous experience working within an organisational structure would be advantageous but is not essential.
