Our UK headquarters is based in Worcester where all the main functions of the business are located including the manufacturing of gas boilers. We have a further site in Clay Cross Derbyshire where our oil boilers are manufactured.
The technical support department handle pre and post sales enquiries from trade professionals and consumers through phone, email and social channels on our range of heating products.

Jigs & Fixtures Intern
- As our Jigs & Fixtures Intern you will be responsible for producing drawings and aiding in the design of jigs, fixtures and manufacturing aids in line with requirements. You will also a main point of contact for creating orders for materials and components for both our orders and orders for external suppliers as well as performing torque tool checks and maintaining the checking sytsem.
Industrial Engineering Intern
- Our Industrial Engineering Intern is a key supporter in the creation and maintenance of cycle times in line with the business needs, along with performing ergonomic assessments in line with our schedule. You will be an active participant in our quarterly process analysis activities, confirming outcomes and actioning these within a schedules timeframe
Production Engineering Intern
- As our Production Engineering Intern you will be responsible for planning effective manufacturing processes including: Evaluating the best methods and equipment required; trials of parts and methods; creating and optimising plant layouts; preparing and maintaining work instructions; supervising installation, commissioning and release of processes to production. You will be a key supporter in the introduction of new products and technologies into manufacturing as well as design, procurement and manufacturing of production equipment to facilitate improvement projects.
Bosch Production System (BPS) Intern
- As our BPS intern you will be a pro-active support to on-site functions, especially manufacturing, with the implementation of processes, information and material flow systems. You will also be assisting with Kanban control and milk run implementation/ maintenance as well as supporting the preparation for all continuous improvement workshops and plant internal/ external assessments.
- These systems control the plant's production inline with the BPS pull principle. The resource is used to maintain the Plan for every part document with engineering change requests, new products and process introductions.
Manufacturing Training Intern
- Along with the Bosch Production Systems (BPS) department, our Manufacturing Training Intern will support with continuous improvement workshops and introduction of new products/processes within manufacturing as well as supporting the BPS methodology in line with business requirements.
- You will also be a key point of supporting the shop floor in Trusted Platform Methodology and any other manufacturing requirements as well as proactively supporting the upkeep of training records and matrix for all production departments and standardising development/training.
You will also be a key support to our Worcester Contact Centre, answering inbound phone calls. This will allow you to develop and enhance your communication skills for the future.
Qualifications
- Be an undergraduate student (studying an Engineering focused degree) with a desire to complete a 12 month work placement as part of degree studies.
- Be a capable 3D CAD user and able to interpret & create technical drawings.
- Good organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
- Has the ability to adapt quickly to changing working environments and is ready to embrace new ways of working through digitalisation.
- Has the confidence to challenge and create new ideas.
- Has the capability to work well in a team as well as independently, using own initiative.
- Has a quality mind-set with high attention to detail.
- Can communicate confidently with people at all levels, both written and verbal (including on the telephone).
- IT literate and confident in using MS Office packages as well as learning Company systems.
