We have a fantastic opportunity available at Bouygues Energies & Services (BYES) for an Electrical / Electronic Engineering Graduate to join our Hinkley Point C team as an Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer. The role would be based from our Bristol office but supporting the Hinkley project.

    It’s a very exciting time to be joining Bouygues! We have been delivering a Turn-key EPC contract for the Hinkley Point C new build nuclear power plant Emergency Diesel Generators (EDG).

    The successful candidate would have the opportunity to work alongside a group of very dedicated and knowledgeable individuals within our team, and be able to contribute to the work that we are carrying out on this innovative project.

    This two-year graduate placement within the technical team responsible for the design / manufacturing / qualification of the EDG system (Genset, I&C system and the auxiliaries) is assigned the following responsibilities:

    Participate in delivering the I&C and Electrical work packages. Follow up activities performed by I&C sub-contractors through design, procurement and manufacturing. Follow up activities performed by Instrumentation and Heating systems sub-contractors.

    Graduate programme

    You will be enrolled onto our graduate programme which is a two-year structured training scheme. The programme is designed to enhance and develop soft skills and technical capability through a blend of classroom-based learning and on the job training.

    What you'll need: A 2:1 (or above) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation & Control or similar. Knowledge of electrical systems and I&C design. A genuine desire to work within the nuclear industry.
