Your role

As a placement student within our HR Shared Services team, you will have a diverse and varied role where no two days are the same.

You will play a key part in administering all areas of the employee life cycle, including processing new starters and leavers, making contractual changes, actioning reference requests, supporting with payroll, assisting HR Business Partners with TUPE in and out, and providing redundancy calculations.

What are you going to do?

You will utilise a case management tool to view and action requests received from the wider UK, Ireland, and Nordics business, ensuring updates on progress are provided where necessary, and they are resolved in a timely manner.

On a day-to-day basis, you’ll get involved in processing new starters and leavers and updating their employee files, drawing up contractual paperwork and sending it out via DocuSign, initiating reference requests for new starters via a 3 rd party, supporting our HR Business Partners with TUPE in and out procedures, doing redundancy calculations, supporting managers and colleagues with general queries, and any other administrative duties where required.

What are we looking for?

This role is suitable for a current university student who is looking for a 12-month placement opportunity that allows them to gain valuable knowledge and insight into a HR function.

We are ideally looking for someone who has a desire to work in a HR role once graduated, and who can demonstrate their skills in attention to detail, accuracy, and communication.
