Job purpose
Maintains parameters within management tools of parts and flows through the production facility. Predominantly focused on improving the internal flow of material through Kaizen, reducing material handling, optimising stocking levels and modifying parameters to suit production requirements. Maintenance and analysis of the department KPI’s, providing insight into where opportunity lies for improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Investigate missing part root causes
- Quick response to technical issues
- Maintenance of delivery locations & standards
- Resolution of quality issues caused by handling
- Monitor missing parts and urgent deliveries
- Liaise with internal customers and understand their needs and constraints
- Identify and remove waste from the internal material flow
- Collaborate with the workplace organisation to move towards the ideal production system
- Asses impact of new product launches
- Create strategies and projects to integrate new product into the current logistic flows
Ideal candidate
- Minumim Bachelor Degree in Engineering discipline
- Experience in supply chain/production would be beneficial
- Experience of MS access and advanced MS Excel
- Analylitical
- Methodical, organised, process driven
- WCM/Lean manufacturing knowledge
- Self-motivated and have the ability to work under minimum supervision and with cross functional teams
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- To be able to work under pressure and as part of the practical processes
