About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Systems Engineering Student to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Accelera Business Segment in Milton Keynes. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Work across the product development cycle of zero emission powertrain products for automotive application
- Assist with defining and demonstrating the technical capabilities of Accelera products in a fast moving and emerging industry.
- Work within the Battery Development Team, part of Accelera by Cummins, as part of the Product Validation Engineering
- Battery project and involved in all aspects of the systems engineering of high voltage battery packs for large vehicle applications.
- This role will include requirements capture, experimental testing, performing tests, test reporting, data analysis and failure analysis.
- Interact with the larger engineering team as well as working with external test houses and will be involved in defining and running performance, mechanical and abuse testing of the batteries,
What you'll need
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Must be studying a STEM degree
- Good MS office skills required, with Some experience with managing large data sets and data analysis software
- Able to effectively present complex ideas in both verbal and written formats
- Detail oriented – Keen eye to detail and good communicate to cascading information.
