    Dale Farm is the largest UK farmer-owned cooperative, owned by 1,300 UK farmers. We supply a wide range of consumer and food ingredients dairy products including fresh milk, cheeses, milk powders, butter & dairy spreads, and ice cream into the UK, Irish and international markets.

    Core to our success is our people, and we now have an exciting opportunity within our Procurement team, based at our Head Office in Belfast.

    About the role

    As part of this placement, you will play a core role within our Procurement Team.

    Reporting to the Category Manager - Procurement, within this role you will look after the following responsibilities:

    • Support Category Manager in tendering activities
    • Manage tendering for small value spends
    • Maintain Packaging Specification database
    • Support Group Packaging Technologist in submission of Dale Farm biannual pEPR and completion of Customer Requests relating to packaging specifications
    • Manage component set-up on to Dale Farm Navision system
    • Manage new vendor set-up on to Dale Farm Navision system

    About you

    This opportunity calls for a placement student with first rate communication skills who will be a hands-on, results-oriented individual and who can demonstrate their creativity, skills, energy and ability to multitask effectively.

    Candidates should be working towards a Business, Procurement or Supply chain related degree and have excellent administration skills with the ability to work flexibly to meet deadlines. You should hold a current clean driving license and ideally have access to your own transport. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and the desire to work with their team to drive forward success.
