    This one-year placement role is for architectural students (pre-Masters or equivalent) who are studying toward their UK Part 2 or equivalent and are required to complete one year in practice as part of their education. The placement will begin in September 2025 and run for one year on a full time, 5 day a week basis working in person from our central London practice.

    Our ideal candidate is a Part 1 architecture student who demonstrates exceptional standards across all aspects of their work, possesses an innate drive for continuous improvement, and views each project as an opportunity to expand their capabilities and design thinking.

    Responsibilities

    You will produce 2D and 3D drawings, illustration material for client presentations, work in our physical model shop, and be an active part of design on project teams taking on a variety of tasks and moving between projects as required. You demonstrate the ability to convey your creative ideas effectively using a variety of design tools including hand drawing, Photoshop and InDesign diagrams, producing good digital images, CAD drawings with ArchiCAD and Rhino, and constructing physical architectural models.

    Skills and expertise

    Ideally you will have knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, with some knowledge of a 3D modelling programme (preferably ArchiCAD or Rhino). We understand that many architectural students will need training up in digital design software, and we are prepared to offer software training. You will need to be ready and open to work across projects and learn different software. Physical model making and hand drawing skills are also a plus.
