About Energy Systems

We help customers navigate the complex transition to a decarbonized and more sustainable energy future. We do this by assuring that energy systems work safely and effectively, using solutions that are increasingly digital. We also help industries and governments to navigate the many complex, interrelated transitions taking place globally and regionally, in the energy industry.

About the role

Here at DNV, what we do matters. Whether it’s helping the Energy Industry transition to a decarbonised and sustainable future or helping protect life, property and the environment, every day, what you do, will make a difference. This is our shared purpose and one our people are proud to be part of.

Our Offshore Infrastructure department totals approximately 170 people, dedicated to assurance services across a broad range of energy sectors including upstream Oil & Gas, offshore Renewable Energy and any applications serving the energy industry. We offer a portfolio of services that primarily focuses on traditional Oil and Gas whilst also looking to create leading indicators within renewables, decarbonisation, and future fuels. Our complete cycle of services makes us a key contributor to the management of the energy trilemma (energy reliability, affordability, and sustainability) and energy transition.

Within this, our dedicated Marine Risk service line provides consultancy and advisory services, partnering with various stakeholders throughout the marine operations lifecycle, across a variety of offshore projects spanning the energy spectrum. Our primary work scope includes the application of our deep domain knowledge to identify risks associated with offshore vessels utilising dynamic positioning (DP) systems. We then assist our clients with mitigating these risks to safeguard life, property, and the environment (in alignment with DNV’s purpose).
