This is an exciting opportunity to identify/manage environmental risk, assure the quality of environmental products and confirm they are fit-for-purpose. Working collaboratively within project teams and ensure that socio-environmental and sustainability elements are given enough consideration in the appraisal of schemes, their options and development of project business cases.

In this role you will

  • Identify/manage environmental risk on flood risk management projects.
  • Assure the quality of environmental products, confirm these are fit for purpose.
  • Work collaboratively within project teams.
  • Ensure that socio-environmental and sustainability elements are considered in the appraisal of schemes and in the development of project business cases.

During your traineeship, you will have the opportunity to work on other projects and in other teams to support your development. You will need to develop your knowledge and skills in line with expected competencies to achieve your professional membership ambition. This will ensure you gain necessary experience and technical knowledge required.

Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do, you'll be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment. Full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.
