    Our summer internship is a 6-week programme designed to provide the experience and skills you need in your studies and future career. Our Norwegian and UK internship will begin on 19 June and ends on 4 August 2023, with one week off starting 17 July.     As part of the summer internship programme, Equinor is offering positions within its Strategy and Business Development (BD) function across different teams in Norway, including:

    • The centralized BD team within Equinor's Chief Financial Officer (CFO) area and
    • BD teams embedded in the Exploration and Production Norway (EPN) area.

    The centralized BD team in CFO are shaping Equinor's portfolio in light of the energy transition and Equinor's corporate strategy. The CFO Business Development and M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions) team's main function is to identify, originate and execute all asset or company ownership acquisitions, divestments and mergers within oil and gas, renewables and future business.

    The summer interns will support the mentioned BD team on various tasks and analyses, which will be detailed later on, according to the different teams' needs. Potential tasks may include industry, competitor or portfolio analysis.

    Some qualities are essential for Equinor. You identify with our values, open, collaborative, courageous and caring, which guide our decisions and help us succeed and grow. You make safety your priority and contribute to our zero-harm culture. For this position, we are also looking for:

    • Currently studying for Bachelor’s, Master’s degree or Ph.D. with a strong academic record within Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Political Science or similar fields
    • Fluent in English and preferably a second working language
    • No more than two years of relevant full-time work experience
    • Have completed at least two years of higher education before the internship programme starts (19 June 2023)
    • Have at least one year of higher education left after the internship programme ends (4 August 2023)
    • The interns need to be located in the country where the internship takes place during its entire duration. Equinor does not support any relocation for our summer interns.
    • Please note that Equinor does not support, or sponsor work or visa permits for internship applications. Candidates must have the necessary work permit/visa for the UK. The work permits/visas must be valid at the point of application and for the duration of the internship.     • Extracurricular activities and/or voluntary work are an advantage
    • An interest in energy
