    About this opportunity

    At Ericsson we are advancing with new design processes always keeping ahead in the market, in 2024 we want to move Intelligent Site Engineering from trial volume to large scale BAU design process. To support our new ways of working, we are now looking to grow our team, onboarding a Graduate Structural Engineer to further support our experienced team.

    Ericsson have a team of offshore engineers involved in the front-end site design, you and the team will support them in growing their knowledge and improving processes to keep aligned with customer design guideline changes.

    As a Graduate Structural Engineer you will actively support designs in: Civils/Steel Frame /Piling and concrete, Special Foundations, End of life and structural failure solutions as well as complete the analysis of Telecom structures.

    The role will require you to support our In-House design team, forming structural calculations, validating, and signing off the work of the wider team as well as proactively support with drawings utilising AutoCAD. Furthermore, a key responsibility will be reviewing new design documentation released ensuring this is adopted into the front-end design process whilst meeting requirements to achieve our first time-right objectives.

    • Support the development of technical solutions, including technical presentations and proposals, as well as assisting with customer presentations.
    • Oversee and validate CAD drawings.
    • Perform and review GDC and structural calculations, and work with our leads to sign off on approved designs.
    • Grow into your role where you will be able to support design and build queries from all stakeholders, including but not limited to customers, internal teams, and ASPs.
    • Ensure designs are in accordance with current design standards, CDM 2015 Regulations, and Health & Safety regulations.
    • Actively participate in knowledge transfer, documentation, and information sharing with internal and external teams.
    • Stay abreast of new technology and technical areas, sharing information about solutions to enable customer competence building.

    Key skills

    • Fresh graduated in BEng in Civil / Structural / Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Able to prioritize work, using own initiative to identify solutions
    • Proactive and pragmatic approach, including strong organisational skills
    • Willingness and ability to learn how to use other systems
    • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
    • An understanding of AutoCAD
