The role

We are looking for a Customs Commercial Analyst to help provide the communication, support and tools for our Commercial teams to delight customers and realise our business strategy. You will work within the International Operations team, ensuring service performance, client issues and data requests are clearly understood and addressed by the correct areas of the business – to improve network efficiencies, reduce costs, and maintain strong client satisfaction.

You will be accountable for

  • Service analysis and communication
    • Providing regular transparency on service issues – the scale, why they happened and what is being done to resolve them – ready framed for client conversations.
  • Client Escalations
    • Supporting Client Managers on identifying specific client issues using the available reports and data and raising these issues to the appropriate level.
    • Providing ad-hoc reporting and analysis support and attending client meetings or calls to present this where required.
  • Operational Efficiency
    • Highlighting operational client issues to Client Managers and ensuring appropriate actions are in place to tackle recurring issues.
  • Client Manager data / reports
    • Ensuring client managers either have the data available to self-solve service issues, or work with the various data and BI teams across the business to locate and surface the required data.
    • Identifying reporting or data improvements and engaging the right teams across the business to address these.
  • Commercial Operations KPIs
    • Creating and maintaining KPI reports to track success of business actions and to drive the right behaviours where KPIs are not being met.
  • Billing
    • Invoice verification and validation of costs ensuring respective recharges are raised in accordance with client contracts.
    • Reconciling VAT and Duties charges.
    • Raising PO’s.
  • Role / Team
    • Building collaborative relationships across the business and with the Commercial teams to facilitate delivery of your roles and responsibilities.

About you

  • Educated to degree level or demonstrable equivalent business experience.
  • Full clean driving licence role requires travel to Evri locations or clients.
  • Highly numerate, skilled and experienced in data analysis, MS Excel and Office
  • Skills in more technical data software is useful but not essential (e.g. Business Objects, Tableau, SQL).
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of our clients’ customer-centric focus.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team and establish effective working relationships at all levels of the business.
  • Previous Logistics or Retail industry experience desirable.
