The role

We are currently recruiting for Treasury Business Consultants in the Capital Markets division of FIS. These positions are London based and aligned to the FIS University Program; a two-year scheme, suited to entry level joiners who aspire to develop a successful career with a leading FinTech company!

As a full-time FIS University Program participant, you will receive on-the-job training and have an opportunity to participate in team projects, professional development seminars and access an online learning curriculum during the two-year program. You will work with a team that is invested in your growth, development, and success; including bi-annual performance connects with your manager and merit reviews.

The UK program has a start date in September 2024 with a dedicated “Learning Week” where you will:

  • Learn how to work within a corporate environment
  • Learn about the exciting world of Fintech and the role FIS plays
  • Learn the unique nature of our industry, products, and the markets in which we work
  • Learn the structure of FIS and options for growth within the organisation
  • Hear from FIS leadership about their journey and participate in senior leader networking opportunities
  • Build a network of peers from across the organization

Following the FIS University Program Learning week, you will continue your learning journey with your business unit and will be involved in specific FIS Solution training where you will have Senior Consultants deliver workshops on each key module including: Introduction to Treasury, Static Data and Administration, Instruments, Cash Management, Reporting, Accounting, Project Management. Following this, the expectation is that you can already participate in active projects, applying the knowledge that you have learnt.

About the hiring team

You will join the Consulting Services team within the Capital Markets line of business at FIS. Consulting Services team helps implement cutting-edge FIS solutions within a variety of industries such as Pharmaceuticals, Oil & Gas, Retail, Automotive and many more to enable them to solve their biggest financial services problems. FIS offers these solutions in the areas of Corporate and Banking Treasury, Risk, Insurance, Payments, Wealth, and Retirement planning.

What you will be doing

Following on from your Learning week and further structured product training, you will learn about Corporate Treasury and Treasury Management System (TMS) - Quantum. In your role as Treasury Business Consultant, you will:

  • Learn how to design, implement, test, deliver TMS Solution of Quantum
  • Work on specific tasks within a dedicated project team, which will have responsibility to meet deliverables in domains such as Treasury workflows, Cash Management, Risk Management, Accounting, Analytics, and Hedge Accounting. During the project, you will also deal with interfaces with non-FIS applications e.g., Trading Platforms (FX All, 360T), Market Data Providers (Reuters, Bloomberg), ERP Systems (SAP, Oracle)
  • Shadow experienced Consultants and learn to effectively communicate on and analyse client requirements, allowing an accurate estimate of time and cost to deliver project work
  • Delivery of the solution to the client environment - training and testing with the client before seeking formal sign-off that the delivery meets all requirements that have been detailed with the specification documents and the client’s overall objectives

As you build experience and complete the two year program, you will have the opportunity to choose your career path in consulting, project management or people management.

Who we are looking for

  • You have a bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of Treasury and Finance functions; or strong willingness to learn these
  • Analytical nature, combined with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and an ability to work under pressure
  • Work individually and within a team to meet specific client requirements
  • Proactive mindset, with a willingness to ask questions and put forward ideas
  • Organised with good time management skills and an ability to multi-task
  • Ambitious individuals with a strong desire to learn and develop professionally
  • Strong interest in working with IT systems and software
  • Good working knowledge of core Microsoft products, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel within Europe (up to approx. 40 - 60%) as and when assignments require

Desirable skills

  • Basic proficiency in application programming languages such as HTML, XML, JSON and SQL or a willingness to learn
  • Fluency in another European language, in addition to English, would be advantageous
  • Awareness of project life cycles and project management methodologies, for example: waterfall, Agile, etc.
