Our Achieve Vacation Scheme is specifically designed for individuals from underrepresented groups within the UK workforce as identified by the UK government which includes individuals from: Bangladeshi, Black, Pakistani and Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities. In addition to spending a week with the firm to experience what it is like to be a Trainee Solicitor at Foot Anstey, successful applicants will also take part in a series of masterclass sessions to develop legal skills and knowledge in the commercial fundamental principles which are used through a number of our teams.

During the week you will spend at the firm in April, you will have the opportunity to contribute to live cases. At the end of the week, you will use the knowledge you have learnt during the week in our assessment centre for a 2025 or 2026 Training Contract.

Our Training Contract offers an exceptional mix of early client contact, expert supervision and broad sector experience all within a team and firm that is refreshingly human. You will be working with and learning from people who are experts in their area, and keen to help you progress. Over the course of four seats, you can gain experience across our six core sectors. Plus, we have a Virtual Trainee programme which offers you the chance to work with a client virtually. And you’ll be part of a firm that is seriously ambitious, but also seriously friendly.

Our Trainee Solicitors work across three of our main offices; Bristol, Southampton and Exeter. You will choose one location as your base office and have the potential to travel to the other offices to broaden your experience in different seats.
