We have a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Account Manager (Private Client FX) to join our busy and growing Private Client Dealing Desk. If you have a collaborative and adaptable work ethic, a drive for success and are looking for your next opportunity then we would like to hear from you.

Job purpose

We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Account Manager to join our highly successful private client FX dealing desk. Working alongside an experienced Foreign Exchange (FX) sales team, who will train and coach you throughout.

In this role you will learn how to offer the best rates, build a strong relationship with clients, and help you develop a keen interest in the market. Throughout your career with GC Partners, you’ll develop an in-depth knowledge of financial markets; current affairs, economics, and foreign exchange.

This is a great opportunity for an aspiring FX dealer who is looking for a bright opportunity to work within a tight-knit sales team where you will be given full-on training with genuine career progression.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Provide day to day support to our private client dealing team
  • Assisting first-time users with our online platform
  • Developing our existing client base with a view to selling ongoing services and expanding clients’ LV
  • Developing the skills and expertise to sell our range of FX services
  • Exhibit GC values: accountability, passion, integrity, excellence, collaboration and personalisation
  • Accountable for understanding Consumer Duty policy and procedures; partnering and collaborating within the team to achieve set standards

About you

Person specification

We are looking for an individual who currently possesses the following skills:

  • Great communicator with the ability to sell
  • Self-motivated and results/target driven
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for speaking with clients over the phone
  • Ability to make personal conversations while building a working relationship with your client
  • Strong language and grammatical skills
  • Proactive with a can-do attitude and desire to outperform

Qualification & experience

  • Some customer services or sales experience in any environment is preferred but not essential
  • Educated to degree level
