    Role description

    • Partnering with the EH&S, Quality, Engineer and Operations teams to optimise processes for the introduction of the new components and repairs, while meeting all repair manual and regulatory requirements.
    • Work closely with the value streams, SPOs and engineering to identify suitable Component Repair and Accessory Industrialisation projects that meet the strategic needs of the business and to justify the business case through data driven evaluation
    • Work closely with SPO Engineers to evaluate RD requirements and to manage through to completion individual and multiple projects on time, per budget and in adherence to GE Aerospace MOC requirements.
    • Continual monitoring of Product and Process Quality during NPI introduction phase, until reaching RRL10 (full release to production)
    • Rework, Process First Time Yield, Delivery and Cost metrics for exceptions and trends, define and implement corrective and improvement actions, use data for prioritization
    • Provide detailed information to support P&E spend and IRB approval process.
    • Providing labour information through collaboration with the shop regarding content on new repairs.
    • Collaborate with SPO to team to gather and record required data for repair substantiation and submit RSS workflows.
    • Ensure good working relationships bring efficiency, quality, and standardization through liaison between Shop operations teams, Engineering and Quality management.
    • Liaise with global NPI and cost teams to report on KPI performance

    Qualification requirements

    • Must have served a recognised engineering apprenticeship or be qualified to degree level

    • Good understanding of manufacturing and inspection tools and processes used within the aerospace sector.
