Right now we’re looking for industrial placement students in Project & Portfolio Management (Oral Health R&D) join us to do career defining work.

A career in Oral Health R&D where none of us stand still

You will work embedded within Haleon’s Research & Development (R&D) Oral Health Project & Portfolio Management team, as part of a cross-functional team based in Weybridge, Surrey. Your work will help ensure that the innovation pipeline is well managed and effectively delivers great products to our consumers through providing clear, relevant and timely data to support decision making.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain the Oral Health R&D Resource plan to forecast future resource requirements against available capacity to support data-driven decision making in portfolio governance meetings.
  • Co-ordinating and supporting the Project Manager in specific projects, to develop new and innovative oral health products to be marketed across the globe.
  • Supporting the Project Management team leader in continuous improvement initiatives and team development events.
  • Running reports and queries across the portfolio of projects to support decision making and encourage good project management practice.

What will your individual contribution at Haleon be?

  • Strong understanding of the need for confidentiality and care when managing sensitive information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Proactivity, initiative and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • PowerPoint and Excel skills are essential. Familiarity with or willingness to learn to use scheduling software e.g. MS Project or Power BI will also be required.
  • Understanding of concepts associated with business reporting, resource management, schedule management, risk management and key performance indicators.

Education required

You will have completed a minimum of 2 years of a Business, Science,

Technology, Engineering or Maths undergraduate degree, but will not have graduated at the start of your placement. You may be expected to provide evidence from your university to show you will be an undergraduate student for the duration of the placement year and they are supportive of your placement.
