The CSA Graduate Engineer will support the QA/QC Manager with all CSA quality aspects of projects, with a particular emphasis on maintaining the highest standards of quality compliance and introducing AI technology.

This role will be 50% office based and 50% site based traveling to complete quality audits to ensure compliance on site and to ensure the highest standards of workmanship are being achieved. Reporting directly to the CSA QA/QC Manager, the Graduate Engineer will work closely with the project team, and the wider CSA team, to support the delivery of their projects to the highest standard.

General tasks

  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner.
  • Ensure effective communication with the project team, subcontractors, and the client.
  • Monitor the SharePoint/ACC CSA Subcontractor folder structure as per standards, only modifying with Quality Manager approval.
  • Keep a detailed daily diary.
  • Support the Project Engineer, Project Manager and Site Manager in managing CSA Quality on site.
  • Assist CSA Sub-Contractors with any project-related Quality issues.
  • Record lessons learned from the project.
  • Manage close out of site snag lists.
  • Propose value engineering solutions when applicable.
  • Fully partake in all training offered as part of the graduate development programme.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Applications i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.

Safety

  • Ensure CSA contractor complies with H&MV 5 Point PPE on site.
  • Log at least one safety observation when on site via the SSD system.
  • Report all non-compliance to the project team.

Quality

  • Familiarize with the Integrated Quality Management system ‘QAP 14 – Design Management and Control’, ‘QAP 06 – Project Management’ and ‘QAP 23 CSA’ on SharePoint.
  • Set up and implement H&MV’s CSA ITP and Tracker prior to works commencing onsite, ensuring completion as the work progresses.
  • Ensure the construction work quality is to the highest standard and in compliance with design and specifications.
  • Undertake Site Quality Audits monthly, distribute audits to the project team and senior management, and ensure actions are closed.
  • Prepare monthly QA/QC report.
  • Ensure quality noticeboards are being kept up to date across all sites.
  • Monitor CSA Quality audits for actions to be closed out.
  • Raise NCR’s against non-compliant works and where procedures are not followed.
  • Ensure certifications/warranties for each element of work are compiled upon completion of each element of work.
  • Monitor BCAR requirements and compliance across the sites.
  • Be confident with the use of AI technology in the presenting of reports and production of documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or related Engineering/Construction discipline.
  • Familiar with quality management systems , Microsoft Office, SharePoint/ACC, and confident using AI for reporting and documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with project teams, subcontractors, and clients effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality compliance, safety standards (including H&MV’s 5 Point PPE), and proactive in identifying and addressing non-compliance.
  • Willingness to travel between office and site (50/50), full drivers licence is essential
