With Headquarters in Limerick, H&MV Engineering is a Specialist High Voltage Engineering Company established in 1997. Since its inception, H&MV has proudly grown to become one of the top specialists in HV Turnkey projects, with offices in Ireland, the UK, Europe and India. H&MV is currently working on high voltage projects in the utility sector and is also engaged in high voltage projects in Renewables, Data Centres, Manufacturing and Pharmaceuticals in the private sector worldwide.

    Specific responsibilities

    A Resource planner works with the operations team to manage the distribution and allocation of labour resources to each of the companies projects. They also take on the role of project planner in a small number of live jobs. The resource planners role includes:

    • Maintain work schedule based on work requests/training requests and holiday approvals
    • Take lead in coordinating and populating weekly labor schedules 4 weeks in advance for company wide projects
    • Chair/Sit-In on twice weekly MS Teams meetings with Operations Managers, Project Managers, Site Managers, and other department leads for upcoming works
    • Regularly liaise with various departments within H&MV to co-ordinate weekly work schedules.
    • Building of project programmes (Tender/PCSA/Contract/Execution/Desing/Commissioning) using scheduling software.
    • Attendance at internal weekly project meetings.
    • Gathering of accurate progress weekly including accurate start/finish dates.
    • Participating in internal planning workshops and training programs.
    • Attending sites as often as necessary
    • Reporting to Lead Planners & Planning Manager on project and programme status
    • Attendance at weekly planning department meetings.
    • Maintain good documentation and file management.
    • Reporting regularly, internally and externally (progress updates/S-Curves,/4wk Lookaheads/Planned v Actual/Spent v Earned/Cost Performance Index/Schedule Performance Index as well as any additional reports as required.
    • Adhering to all Planning Department standards and procedures.

    Skills / requirements

    • Relevant 3rd level Qualification.
    • May be required to visit/support other Project locations.
    • Computer literate in Excel, Word, MS Project, Primavera, Visio, Powerpoint.
    • Flexibility/Adaptability.
    • Strong Communication Skills.
    • Strong organisational and analytical skills.
    • Team player who demonstrates a high level of initiative.
