Participants on our Graduate Programme will develop their strategic thinking, problem solving, project management, leadership and relationship building skills whilst undertaking placements within their chosen profession. Day to day, depending on your chosen profession you could be acquiring or disposing of land, providing investment for infrastructure or working collaboratively with our partner organisations. From day one, you will have ownership and responsibility for your own projects / work.

You will be supported by your placement manager; have a buddy and you will be empowered to take ownership of your own learning and development including having access to a coach or mentor. Towards the end of the programme, we will support you to obtain a role aligned to your career aspirations and organisational needs.

A bit about the role

As a graduate risk programme participant, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in the exciting field of risk management. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining valuable hands-on experience and exposure to a wide range of risk management practices. From day one, you will be given meaningful responsibilities and the opportunity to make a real impact.

As a Risk Team we work in partnership across the whole business to deliver Homes England’s strategic objectives and underlying programmes, within an agreed risk appetite and framework. As a Risk team we design and oversee frameworks and policies that support identification, assessment, management and reporting of risk to our business and operations. We enable risk management by providing guidance, advice, systems and processes to support risk framework expectations. Where we are a risk policy owners and in our Risk Business Partner Capacity we act as a critical friend and objectively assess risk maturity.

An evolving area of activity is key control assurance where we will assess the design and operating effectiveness of key controls. Finally, In risk reporting we provided MI to the executive and board to inform decision making is respect of all current and emerging key risk profiles across the Agency.

To be shortlisted for this role you will require any degree within Business or Investment and Financial Risk Management.

Homes England are a geographically diverse community. We work to a 50/50 office/ home based model. Moving back into our office environments has enabled us to utilise our space and time together in the most collaborative way.
