    The role

    Bowood is a longstanding Broking house in the Lloyd’s marketplace encompassing members from a multitude of backgrounds and experiences.  Within Bowood there are various pillars (teams) which foster and allow for a dynamic and collaborative approach; your voice and input will be heard and appreciated.

    Within this role, the individual will be helping assist the Producing Brokers to develop upon an established portfolio of business (40+ years) in the USA, Australian and New Zealand, and support in the growth of new business.

    Within this role you will be working closely with Producing Brokers to assist them in the growth of their current portfolios (some dating back to the mid-80’s), entice new business to the team, and assist in the placement of individuals.

    What will you be doing?

    • The Individual will also work with the Producing Brokers to facilitate the placement of Individual Risk
    • Shadowing
    • Populating  spreadsheets
    • Putting packs together
    • General administration duties

    We are seeking an individual who

    • Reasonable awareness of data and emerging technologies and how they can be applied within the Insurance environment.
    • High levels of numeracy and literacy
    • The ability to work both as part of a team (to contribute towards the goal of the division) and proactively independent on their own initiative
    • Ability to work flexibly to achieve tight deadlines / targets
    • Highly organised with good planning and time management skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Outgoing personality with good communication skill and a work ethic to learn from a combined 100+ years’ experience from the Placing Brokers within the hiring team.
