Hudson Sandler is an award-winning, strategic communications (Public Relations) consultancy. We help businesses navigate the constantly changing communications landscape and build closer, more trusted relationships with stakeholders.

We're excited to launch the HS Academy, our twelve-month structured graduate training programme designed to equip graduates entering the communications and PR industry with the skills, knowledge and experience required to become a successful and fully thriving public relations Executive.

Supporting businesses as they navigate the ever-changing world of media, you'll work closely with your teams to create impactful content for a variety of channels, directly engage journalists and analysts to communicate a client’s unique story, and share successes and learnings with the client to evolve their strategy moving forward.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an in-person interview at our office in central London before the end of April. 

Offers will be made in May and candidates will need to be available to start at the beginning of September.

Whilst no two days are ever the same, you'll develop a wide range of skills in the following areas

  • Insights – helping research and analyse the reputational issue and opportunities of our clients
  • Client Service – understanding the world in which your clients operate, supporting day-to-day implementation of client communication programmes and campaigns, learning how quoted companies’ financial and reporting calendars are organised and distributing announcements to key audiences, analysts and press
  • Learning how the City operates with opportunities to support on high profile transactions including mergers and acquisitions and IPOs
  • Writing – learning how to write engaging and effective business communications such as press releases, articles and blogs
  • Media Pitching - building relationships with journalists & generating media coverage
  • Media Monitoring – learning how the media operates, picking up on relevant press topics and the implications for our clients, setting up press meetings/briefings for clients and creating media lists
  • Strategic Planning - learning how to use insight tools to support research, inform creative thinking and contribute to activity brainstorms
  • New Business Research – supporting new business efforts by participating in research, information gathering and market intelligence

Candidate profile

  • Curiosity about society and how capital, government and media impact our clients and their ecosystems
  • Truly collaborative with a team spirit ethos
  • A strong interest and desire to work in communications and public relations
  • Keen interest in business media and reading the news daily
  • Ability to communicate confidently, articulately and succinctly
  • Enjoys writing and can confidently demonstrate writing ability
  • A meticulous eye for detail
  • Eager to join a busy, fast-paced environment with the ability to successfully multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • Enjoys research and analysis
  • Has a proactive, can-do & flexible attitude
