Business overview 

We are currently looking for a Cyber Security Operations Analyst to join ITV’s new and expanding Security Operations team.

This is an exciting new role where you will support the Cyber Security Operations Manager to monitor and respond to various notifications and events from business and security systems. This role will require you to work with users and stakeholders across the business to identify, protect, detect, respond and recover to security issues.

It's an exciting opportunity to really make a difference to our ‘More than TV’ strategy and help secure some of the UK’s best loved content.

This role entails

• Monitoring, maintaining and protecting ITV’s network, systems and assets from malicious activity
• Triage issues escalated to the SOC and ensure that appropriate follow-up measures are taken in a timely and professional manner
• Utilising industry leading SIEM, AV, MDR, Networking, Identity, Email, and Cloud based tools
• Assist with the development and continuous improvement of runbooks, identifying efficiencies where applicable
• Identifying and suggesting improvements that can be made to technologies, processes, and new initiatives
• Feeding into the plan and strategy for delivering cyber awareness training and cyber events across ITV
• Perform monitoring of open source intelligence for potential threats against ITV, and ensure appropriate defensive actions are taken with respect to these

This will be a hands-on role in a fast paced dynamic environment. The applicant will be required to gain familiarity with a variety of business and security tools, professional training will be provided and customised to the individual, however we are strong believers of learning on the job. You'll need strong communication skills, and must be able to work with all stakeholders. This role will require a normal working pattern of 9 - 5:30, however this may be subject to change as the security operations team matures.

Minimum role criteria

• Working understanding of Cyber controls and OWASP top ten
• Familiarity with and basic understanding of public cloud environments
• Experience in incident situations
• Good personal communications style in line with ITV's culture
• Ability to demonstrate good situational awareness of the cyber threat landscape, and experience of applying this knowledge efficiently and pragmatically
• Work autonomously and in a team, be inquisitive and demonstrate initiative in resolving problems across the business
• Be committed to working out of hours if required and be able to support in dealing with short notice security incidents
