This Woodley clinic is looking for an enthusiastic and confident Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team. Duties include consults, monitoring anaesthetics, inpatient care, laboratory work, schedule 3 (with training if needed) as well other responsibilities including infection control and participating in management meetings within the clinic and other surgeries across the IVC network.

We are looking for an RVN with good inter-personal skills who works well in a busy team and has a strong background in patient care. This clinic will be looking to rebrand in the future, so it's an exciting time to be involved as the practice moves into the next phase.

Fix or flex – worklife balance that works for you

We welcome both full-time and part-time applicants. The full-time position is typically 40 hours over 4 or 5 days per week with a combination of early shifts from 8 am – 4:30 pm and late shifts from 11 am – 7:30 pm. Saturday mornings are 1:4 and there is no OOH.

We value our nurses and recognise the integral part they play within our teams, which is why we are able to offer flexible working hours. Whether you are looking for condensed hours/days, or hours around school runs/hobbies, we can offer true flexibility that works for you.

Our practice

We are a first-opinion small animal practice conveniently situated in the bustling high street of Woodley in Berkshire. With good public transport links, travelling to central Reading or into London is an easy journey.

Our practice is large and modern with 4 consult rooms, a dedicated digital x-ray and ultrasound room, a modern theatre, prep room, separate cat and dog kennels, an in-house laboratory and an excellent range of equipment including a multiparameter, baer hugger and fluid warmers. This is an opportunity to join a friendly team and work in a supportive environment that offers the scope for further development in your chosen area of interest.

Join a supportive team

We are a two vet practice supported by a team of clinical and non-clinical colleagues. Our Head Vet is currently working towards their post-graduate certificate in Surgery and we have a large surgical caseload to support this. Providing good quality patient and client care is a key focus for our team. We are supported by a local Veterinary hospital with overnight care (Vets Now) where we are also able to arrange additional training opportunities in certain areas such as diagnostic imaging.
