We are a truly supportive practice on the border of Cheshire, Staffordshire, and Derbyshire, we have the best of all worlds here in Congleton. Proximity to Manchester, Liverpool, and Birmingham, and the benefits that they bring (restaurants, shopping, nightlife, culture), as well as choice of international airports. We're also just off the M6, if driving is your preference. And with Derbyshire, there's the Peak District, for the more adventurous. Great for hiking, water sports, and dog-walking, to name but a few.
The whole team is supportive, and we care about everyone's wellbeing and their mental health. One feature of this is the practice closing for lunch 1-2pm, so that everyone can breathe and recharge after a busy morning’s consults. We've been involved in many IVC initiatives and are often used as an example of how things should be done. Our low staff turnover is hopefully proof of our success. We work hard and to a high standard, but we also know when to take our feet off the pedals and relax. We have regular team building activities, including staff dinners at one of the many local restaurants. We endeavour to work within a no-blame culture, and have regular clinical and practice meetings, as well as significant event meetings when these are required.
All of our patient anaesthetics are monitored using a multiparameter machine, which provide further support alongside our experienced nursing staff. We have state of the art ultrasound and echo facilities, as well as high quality dental equipment and dental radiography. All of our dentals are performed using two stage techniques, meaning there's always help at hand should you have a tricky extraction, or wish to talk through the best treatment plan for a dental case. Digital radiography, bipolar electrocautery, ophthalmic Loupes, microscopy, and not forgetting our very well-equipped internal laboratory (Catalyst, ProCyte, VetCheck, and EPOC).
Step into a supportive start
Your normal hours of work are 40 hours per week, 4 days a week. Due to the particular needs of the business we need to operate a rota system, therefore there are no normal times of work applicable to you and your daily hours, start and finish times will vary from time to time on a rota system. The rota operates Monday to Friday inclusive. In addition, you will also be required to participate in a weekend rota.
You will be supported by an enthusiastic and motivated team, who want you to succeed just as much as you do! We all have a thirst for learning here at CVC, and having a fresh face to guide and support is something we relish. We've had many new graduates succeed with our support, and I'm sure they'd be more than happy to give us a glowing reference should you wish for one.
