Unlock your passions @ Crossways Animal Care

Crossways has an excellent reputation for providing the highest quality personalised care for our clients and their pets. We are well established in the area and very lucky to have many loyal clients. Within the practice we pride ourselves on supporting each other both inside and outside work and it’s a really great team. We believe it’s important to strike that balance between home and work life and there is no out of hours working.

Facilities include laser, laparoscopy, ultrasound, dental X-ray, Digital X-ray, in-house laboratory equipment and full soft tissue and orthopaedic equipment, and stem cell regenerative medicine. We believe in being part of the communities we serve and support many local events.

Currently we work with several local charities in the community and larger national charities including Dogs Trust, Guide Dogs, RSPCA, and Cats Protection.

You will be working as part of a team with 7 other Vets, 9 registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 student Veterinary Nurse, and 12 support staff. We have two Vets who are Advanced Practitioners, one other with a Certificate in Small Animal Medicine and one currently studying for a Surgical Certificate. Two of our Nurses have Certificates in Emergency & Critical Care and Surgery.

Step into a supportive start

Your normal hours of work are 40 hours per week including 4 weekdays a week between 08:30 and 18:00. You will also be required to participate in a Saturday morning rota working 08:30 – 12:30.

We have a strong track record in supporting & developing graduate vets. You will be given the time to develop your skills and tap into the experience and knowledge of the team who will support you all the way. At the same time, we want to give you the freedom to express your own personality in the role - we don't expect everyone to be the same! After the IVC Graduate Academy we will always look to support you in any further studies.
