    Global Internship Program

    Exciting Opportunity to be part of the Labcorp 2025 Global Internship Program as a Statistics and Programming intern. This role can be situated remotely, or at our site in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

    As a Labcorp intern, you will have the opportunity to support meaningful assignments that compliment an education in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Finance, Marketing, Communications, Business and Sales - and are Inspiring and valuable in our mission to improve health and improve lives across the globe.     About team

    The Virtual Control Working Group is made up of individuals from many (data management, statistics, regulatory, study direction, clinical pathology, anatomic pathology, etc.) global Labcorp departments. The working group meets monthly as a whole and ad hoc with smaller focus groups as needed to meet current project and client’s needs.

    Internship assignment summary

    Support the statistical team in researching the risks and rewards of the application of virtual control groups:

    • Data mining and analysis activities
    • Literature reviews
    • Collation of results for presentation in larger team meetings
    • Summarize results for inclusion in publications
    • Contribute ideas to project vision boards and process plans

    Education, qualifications and skills

    • Working towards bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or similar.
    • Knowledge/experience with programming/data analysis content (ideally SAS)
    • Has experience delivering multiple projects in an academic or professional setting
    • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and internal/external colleagues
    • Embraces diverse ways of thinking through various forms collaboration and partnership
